IM Octopus Absolute European Fund

The IM Octopus Absolute European Fund invests in European equities, and aims to deliver a positive return in all stock market conditions over any twelve month period. As such, the fund is managed against a minimum return target of cash returns, rather than any European equity index.

The fund invests in a portfolio of 40 to 60 European listed equities and equity related securities, directly and through derivatives. The fund manager uses a research-based stock picking investment approach to select mis-priced companies that are subject to changing market perceptions. Investment in derivatives provides both long and short positions principally through the use of contracts for difference. Therefore, the fund could be referred to as a ‘long/short' fund. Derivatives also provide efficient portfolio management.

Investments in Alternative markets can be more volatile than an investment in Fixed Income or Cash. Past performance is no guide to future performance. The value of investments can decrease as well as increase and you may not get back the full capital invested.
