Relationship Management

In order to drive our continued growth, we are looking for people to work as part of our leading-edge relationship management teams, either in a field-based position or as an office-based relationship manager.

Field Relationship Managers

You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of Independent Financial Advisers for the distribution of a unique range of investment products. Your aim will be to develop and deepen relationships with an existing client base, increasing the use and distribution of Octopus products within your universe. You will have the opportunity and flexibility to work from home, with relatively frequent travel to the London head office, as required.

With a strong numerical and finance aptitude, you will have a demonstrable track record of managing and developing high level relationships within the IFA community.

A self-starter who enjoys the successes and challenges as part of a highly talented team, you will have robust process skills and will understand the true meaning of customer service, showing honesty and integrity in your style.

Office Relationship Managers

Based in the London head office, you will be working as part of a team, assisting the Field Relationship Managers in servicing and developing the client network. You will be answering queries, following up on new client applications, as well as proactively growing and deepening IFA relationships.

With an ability to build relationships and create rapport quickly, you will take responsibility for any issues, and have the initiative to recognise opportunities as they arise. Self-motivated and outgoing, you will have a consistent and methodical approach to work, with an ability and willingness to learn about new products in a constantly changing and dynamic environment.

You will have a proven track record in a sales or customer service environment (ideally telephone based) with the ambition to develop your career within the fund management industry.

Intermediate Capital

Having recently launched our Intermediate Capital team, we are looking to recruit experienced Investment Managers. The team will be investing £45 million over the next two and a half years in deal sizes ranging from £1 million to £4 million.

Investment Manager

With the aim of leading your own deals in six months, you will have the scope to carry out all investment management functions. You will have a minimum of three years' experience in the lower to mid UK unquoted market, either as a corporate financier, structured debt/acquisition financier or venture capitalist. You will possess additional strengths, either with an affinity for financial modelling or as a marketing oriented person with an existing network to secure strong deal flow.

Product Development

At Octopus, we pride ourselves on being at the cutting edge of product design, innovation and implementation. We are constantly looking at new products which may benefit our clients and are looking for industry specialists to join the team.

Product Development Managers

We are looking for two product development specialists to join the business: to focus on our tax products and on our more recently developed trust products. With experience in product design and development, you will have a proven track record in innovative design and construction, with the motivation and drive to be successful in a constantly changing and competitive market.
